OmeGard Vegan capsules contain Ahiflowerolie (Buglossoides avensis), the richest, naturally occuring source of omega-3 stearidonic acid (SDA), and an excellent source of omega-6 gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). Effectively combining the benefits of consuming evening primrose oil and fish oil, in one vegetarian capsule!

Recent human clinical trial evidence shows, Ahiflower oil leads to 3 - 4 times higher EPA-levels in the blood plasma, than flaxseed oil. Reason is, conversion of SDA (in Ahiflower oil) into EPA by the body, is much more efficient than conversion of ALA (in flaxseed oil) into EPA. 

This makes Ahiflower Oil a full and vegetarian alternative for fish oil, and a game-changer in plant-derived fatty acids.

 Cats and small dogs: 1 capsule per 2 days, or as recommended.

Medium sized and large Dogs: 1 capsule per 15 kg body weight per day. 

Use as long as needed. Give as a treat or mix the capsule content with food.

Ahiflower oil is a game-changer in plantderived omega-rich oils because its highest omega-3 SDA content and its beneficial omega-6 GLA content outperform typical plant-derived oils like flax, chia, hemp, perilla, echium, and sacha inchi in terms of longchain EPA conversion.

Ahiflower’s key differences and benefits versus other plant-based omega sources are:

• Effectiveness. A recently-concluded human clinical trial found that AhiflowerTM oil has up to 3-4x greater EPA conversion rate than flax oil, which has high ALA but zero SDA. Neither do chia, sacha inchi, or perilla oils. This benefit comes from its SDA content (18-20%). Hemp seed oil only has <2-3% SDA.
